She is a Barrister, Blogger and Political Analyst. An Italian citizen with a legal background as a former Public Attorney specialized in Minors Offenders as National Secretary position nominated by the Executive Board of the National Presidency with approval from the House of Representatives.

With a strong sense of independent thinking and constant learning and cross-cultural experience of living in different cities, as Montevideo, London, Brussels, Geneva, Malaga, Madrid, she brings an inclusive perspective around multiculturalism.

She’s passionate about developing a reshaped model of globalization with a holistic approach toward building resilience and sustainability around societal vulnerabilities, which should be over and above political perspectives – as she learned in her work with a Political Party for 10 years.

As a leader with global goals, she is focused on building an innovative structure for the youth and open platform of engagement based on authentic connection and ethical leadership. She is an activist and Coordinator for Youth Associations regards youth policies for the Youth National Institute, a public institution of the Ministry of Education, and a Legal Adviser elaborating reports for disciplinary process for Government ́s employees and Ministry representation at Tribunals. ́
She was also appointed as Legal Advisor for the Uruguayan Red Cross, Trainer on Sphere Project (Humanitarian Standards) and Teacher of International Humanitarian Law. Within a passion for lifelong learning she then studied for a Masters on “Europes’ Solidarity Action” in Carlos III University, Madrid, Spain in which she finds a great space for exploring and thriving on Analysis and Research that was–and still is- her great passion.

She got a degree as an Expert on Development Cooperation, Migration, Refugees and Asylum and Humanitarian Aid. She has also worked on Corporate Social Responsibility with CSR Watch Spain. She speaks four languages viz. Italian, English, French, Spanish. Her training courses on a variety of subjects such as Governance, Climate, Sustainability, European Culture, Political Economy, etc.

With prestigious institutions as the World Bank Institute, Columbia University, Yale University, HEC Paris, University of Geneva, University of Groningen, became the main drivers of content, research and analysis on her long-standing blog thesustainabilityreader.com. For personal circumstances she moved to Brussels, Belgium where she had the immense privilege to continue working with acknowledged international organizations like Eurodad, Action Aid, Oxfam.

Mar has the immense privilege to be a regular participant and Speaker on the great Caux Forum from Initiatives of Change Switzerland in which she has the opportunity to collaborate and extend her network across the world. The Caux Forum holds annual conferences, and gathers leaders from different cultures, backgrounds, and particular political positions that are totally opposite. A true creation of peace by conciliation and dialogue.
